Beneath The Pool...

"Unknown"
On the way to Pangong....

In the eerie backyard of the forsaken house,
Just beneath the murky pool,
Of which the translucent waters spoke,
Lived a king's guarded rule...

Of fairytales, of austere lands,
Of furious battles, of queer trends,
Of colourful people, of hopeful wonders,
Of miracles, love and magic asunder...

Of streams of clear blue waters virgin,
Of mysterious music of the fire urchins,
Enigmatic,  powerful, alluring, soothing,
On the rythm that leaves you hopeful or brooding...

The air that bleeds of passionate aroma,
Of beautiful flowers of unknown flora,
Of enchanted woods and creatures unknown,
Brooding, mystical, mythical, forlorn!

Of winds so fresh that no one tires,
Of cosy, warm yet unburning fires,
Of gravity receding to let one fly,
Of earth so fruitful and never dry...

All beneath dirty water,
Lay a land of myth and wonder!

  1. I like your idea of an other more beautiful world for us to find beneath murky waters.

  6. I thought of this place often as a child as I rode with my grandfather in his boat. Approaching land the bottom of the ocean would begin to come into view, with rocks and seaweed, creatures and traps... and I would imagine.

  19. It's a pity how many wonderful things we miss only because they lay beneath places that don't appeal to us at all... I think this idea could be applied to people as well, don't you think? Very nice take on the prompt!
