Return To The Light!

"Unknown"
Setting sun over Sharjah Corniche!
Love in our eyes,
Before us unfolds,
In the heavenly skies,
Stories untold.

The days are falling,
The darkness sets in,
Yet so many young hearts
are still beating!!

As the nights become longer,
The yearning grows stronger,
The love, the passion, the desire
becomes a live fire!!

This poem is written in response to a prompt by Susan for Midweek Motif at Poets United - Light & Dark!

  3. Bringing our own firelight, magnified by young love, into the lengthening nights works metaphor on many different levels. For these young beating hearts, darkness will be light, age will never be lonely.

  11. your poem was very "active." In the sense that the words flowed and the rhyming was on the right track.
