Grocery In Gucci!

"Unknown"

Falling upon a grocery store,
By accident or coincidence,
I remembered the list of forgotten chores,
In my Versace gown, I went!

Clutching my glittery Prada,
Tripping on my fabulous trail,
Tottering in my high heeled Gucci,
I entered the grocery sale!

People stopped to stare at me,
As I foolishly fumbled around,
sorting lemons in a wicker basket,
For Sunday's chocolate mousse!

  1. If I were wearing high heeled Gucci, it would end up being slapstick! I'm a nurse, and not one of the "sexy" kind. I wore Crocs for a while, but my ankles were hurting too much, so I had to go back to orthopedic shoes. :0(
I loved your poem. It was fun and imaginative!

  7. This speaker must not have been in New York City... where they would only have stared if the Prada bag was from last year's trend.

Love the picture pointed by the poem...
