~Sunrise~

"Unknown"
Sunrise in Leh is rather late because of the altitude of the city...
So when she comes up she is full bright and not the usual vermillion orangish colour!

***

Flying across the ocean,
Racing with the rising sun,
into the West!

***

Over the horizon,
The Sun peaks shyly,
Leaving the world in awe!

***

Written for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai!

  1. lovely. the first one seems to mirror the Japanese death poems, so many of which set off over the sea

  5. The ocean full of life and death.
Each day rising starting a fresh...

I think my MIL had a good balance of challenges that she was able to overcome.
I think though she would have changed little - she had a strong will and I believe for the most part was happy. :)

Thank you for your visit and kind words.

  6. I love them both but that first one can certainly be a death poem...very nicely done. So you don't get a gradual sunrise like we do here. Interesting...I just learned something.
