World In My Stilettos...

Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock,
It's not the seconds of the slaving clock,
It's my Jimmy Choo heels meeting the floor,
As I walk in the office through the glass door...
The world abuzz with paper and others,
Haggling about a project or losses or covers,
A fight here, a scoff there, the boss' loud voice upstairs,
Scolding little Mr. Badger for too much delay,
Or the secretary for the sugarless coffee that day,
The coffee machine buzzing busily in the corner,
The clink of tea cups and the rustle of stinky papers,
And All That seems to pause for a moment-
As my Jimmy Choo lands with a "tock" in the hallway!
They all look up to watch as I swagger past,
And some nod their heads or smile with eyes cast,
And I sign a few papers and make a new deal,
Of millions of dollars in a moment's ease,
And wonder if the world could be
In the point of my Jimmy Choo heels!

  3. This made me smile. I can just picture those shoes & the looks that someone would get walking the office halls with them. But it would not be me, never was me. I think I would break my ankles.....or my neck! Smiles.

  4. Your persona made me smile, power in stiletto heels. And I am sure that anyone wearing such killer shoes would make an impression.

  12. Well..now at least there are CEO's with really killer heels and even a Captain i worked for in the military that rises through the ranks to stand on killer not so stiletto like heels..;)

Mankind is funny always looking at the stiletto of womankind for the most part...tick tock of those Captains heels was a force in my work environment...not equaled before....

as it had never been seen..and a new one hard to maintain..for the power atop those heels....a fury of spirit was that one too....

But what the heels truly rise is the REAL focus of attention..

That never changes no matter how civilized we think we are..

or how big the contracts become...;)

    Humans are funny..

when they try to escape their core..

and sad too..most unfortunately at times too.....it was a hard place for that captain to be..

upon those heels..with little healing..with what is rising falling at the same time...almost insanity.. really.. at core of human being...people were laughing and crying at the same time.....

    1. Kate... i think you are rright... what they really rise is focus of attention but maybe also self confidence in the woman... makes her feel powerful more so than men... like its said- women can do everything men can in heels...
