~Fragrance~

"Unknown"
The sculpture of an Indian peacock clicked at a Emporium!

The smell of a new book,
Leaves me lost among the bygone times-
Of friends and school...

***

The scent of earth,
After the first summer rain,
Dancing outside-
Among the beautiful peacocks,
Their trail in display!

***

Burning wood,
And fragrant herbs and oils-
Sacrifices to the fire God!

***

Written for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai!

  7. All three fragrances that you mentioned are soothing and nostalgic, even for me.
My post in response to this prompt is titled 'Geeli Mitti'. Now that I have read your post, I realize that your second Haiku is also about the same. Lovely...
