Rest among the valiant ones,
For never shall your memory be lost in time,
Oh Dear soul of motherland!
In loving memory of all the fallen freedom fighters without whom independence would have been quite impossible. Indian Independence Day-15th August 1947.

Thank you Gillena...
DeleteHoping for a time when 'Freedom Fighters' are not needed. World peace, is that possible with so many differences of opinion on who owns what land?
ReplyDeleteDeath is a completion of one life, but keeping the memories of a joyful life from the children who lost their mother creates a gap in the heart longing to be filled. When my mother passed I guess the adults thought it best to keep those joyous memories to themselves. Too many blame games played by the adults. And even with the dust removed there are so many gaps but at least some get filled.
Good men are always needed Jules... some become freedom fighters others just good citizens... we only need to remember goodness...
DeleteIm really sorry to hear about your mother... I am not very sure what death would feel like but some day I want to welcome it with open arms... im sure though for people left behind it is painful...
A beautiful tribute to those who gave their lives for independence.
