Rest In Peace.

"Unknown"
Google Images

To rest under the heaps of earth cast by my very own,
A tear awakened the dying seed into a ponderous flower,
The weight of many a years hurled gently on my coffin,
And now I can finally rest in a wholesome heavenly bliss!

To rest under the salty waves of the beautiful blue sea,
Tossed aboard by my sweet children when I could no more be.
To be nibbled by the colourful fishes scaling across the oceans,
To wonder the deep mysterious seas and finally ride the currents...

To rest upon a pile of firewoods stacked neatly below me,
To be put alight by my very own son in tears and weary.
To rise up to the open skies like a furious dancing flame,
Finally flying free from all the burdens, fears and blames!

To finally rest in peace wherever I may be,
Tired from a long journey through unexpected realms,
To not breathe and not move, and not think anymore,
To not be scared or sad neither happy nor sore!
To just be,
FREE!

Broken Yet Mended!

I sat at the end of the hall,
My seat rising a little above all,
And it all started with the tap of my feet,
The involuntary ripple in my fingers,
As they play along the music on my knees,
And my shoes clicked on the timber!

And I closed my eyes as the acoustics rose,
And echoed across the hall,
Crisscrossing in many a random forms,
Departing the stage from wall to wall!
And images of unfathomed depths,
Arose in my puzzling mind,
Rising from forgotten past,
Of what was long left behind!
Or created from imagined future,
Beautiful, benign, rich and lustrous,
Deceiving the reality,
Raising hopeless hope within me!
And lost I was in the depths of mind,
Furtively changing yet sublime,
Watching her live, feeling her death,
Laughing her joys, sorrows bereft!
Dancing to her songs, her wishes on my eyes,
Wondering along, lost in her denies,
Trusting her grasp, sensing her closeness,
Sharing her tears in the ultimate oneness.
As the music rose happy and joyful,
My eyes were wet an sorrowful...

The music stopped, the echoes ended,
The lights turned on and I was mended!

~Of Poseidon~

"Unknown"
Goa.
Adorned in a peaceful breeze,
Brimming with wishful sighs,
Reaching out ever so close,
And yet speeding farther away,
Carrying along the empty bottle,
With a wishful note inside,
Of someone's love and life,
Of a sailor's beautiful wife!
And the waves rise and fall,
With heartfelt song of the wind,
And the sea gull skims the water,
With hopes on her wings!

And the rise in anger and wrath,
Above the bewildered mortals,
Praying to escape the scorn,
Of Poseidon's furious assault!

~Living~

"Unknown"
A birthday celebration I could view from my hotel room!
20's joyfully dreaming,
believing the world
is a fairytale and living...
Beaming and dancing,
To every song and tune,
That speaks of love
and heartbreaks,
to loss quite immune,
Until you are hit by 30's
grey hair and responsibilities,
work and pandemonium,
money, bills unwholesome!
Searching for milk in fridge,
And medicines in top shelves!

Circus!

"Unknown"
Elizabeth Taylor, Set of Giant, by Frank Worth!
Swinging in circles,
Ringing the bells,
Clamour around,
Glamour in a spell,
Its a circus! a circus!
My dear friends,
And we are the puppets,
In Nature's hands!
Angling our perfect
body contours,
Hips popped and
Busts raised too,
legs apart in a perfect stance,
ready for Hollywood's
perfect dance!
That's what it is,
It's a living breathing movie,
Where people are actors,
And there foolery a story,
Where props are scattered
At every unknown turn,

It's what we make of it
In our own run!
We make stories of love

passion, heroism,
horror, cruelty, victory,
documentary and  fiction...
And we are the heroes,
and the villains too,
We are the brave hearts
Or the unnoticed few!

Mysterious crooked crone,
Wrapped in layers of tattered shawls,
Trudges upon the muddy road,
Makes her way to the wall,
Where I stood hunched and deeply thoughtless,
Not looking nor waiting,
Not working or watching,
Just standing there quite pointless...
I din't really notice her
Until she was nose to nose,
And scared the living crap
Out of me and I jumped on my toes!
A bony harsh finger pointed
disagreeably close to my eye
she advised me not to stand around
And waste my precious time!
I shrugged and stepped back
Then turned around and ran,
As her creepy shrill voice,
echoed ominously behind my back!
"You mark my word Dear child of God,
For you shall regret this day,
For some day there will be no time,
for leisure, work or play!"
So true she was, so many years ago,
Now I sit and think in my bed,
For time is just what is short,
As I await my approaching Death,
In despair, no leisure, work nor sport!

Ya'aburnee!

"Unknown"
Tomb of Firuz Shah Tughlaq at Hauz Khas Village!

It's Death as I recall, a rather big surprise,
For few it's beautiful, just a change of guise!
For some a paltry fear of the approaching unknown,
Others a dreadful severance from what they thought their own!

And no one wins over Death, It shall definitely arrive,
But when it comes darling for you, I don't want to be alive!
Ya'aburnee, no matter how painful it gets,
Old and crippled, yet all I fear is Your Death!

I know I love you more, and you've never loved me true,
For you have cheated too often, Death is how I pardon you!

Another Me!

"Unknown"
Today I write about another me,
My second chance at life,
I'd redeem my mistakes but make new ones,
That's something I can't deny!

I'd live in a perfect world,
Where I could dance like Zakharova,
Twirl around in a pretty lace,
On my toes, in air and over!

I'd learn kung fu like Jackie Chan,
Yet never loose my cool,
I'd dive and duck, flailing hands,
Needing no random tool!

I'd skate on frozen, hardened ice,
Like Beautiful Elsa of Arendelle,
Never slip, or stumble twice,
Swirling around, princess like grace!

I'm quite happy with my present me,
Except for these unusual fantasies,
That take me to another world,
Wanting another chance to be!!

Morning Glory.

Morning Glories scattered
On the paths of many a pilgrims,
Spreading wisdom of Life.

The vermillion reds cover the skies,
Sun rising above the hills to full glory.

The blues of Morning Glory,
Transforming to a shade of violet-
Only to last one sunrise!

Rain!

"Unknown"

A series of water logged clouds over Himalayas c
alled a squall line.
The water logged clouds
dripping down,
Constant pitter patter
on my window-sill!
The fine trickles
Sneaking around
the rounded stones
In a hurry to reach
the earth within!
The tiny seed,
A memory indeed
Of a long forgotten
Old tree,
Chopped down by the
Relentless woodcutters,
Creeps to life
And returns
Above the soil,
Plunging through the
Softened earth,
Forgiving everyone in its wake!
Of hope,
Love,
Loss
Death
And life!
For She is back!

Six words To Describe my Life!

"Unknown"

Stubbornly hellbent on travelling the world!

A Day In Ocracoke!

"Unknown"

Once upon a time behind the picket fence white,
between the overgrown grass and the red roses wild,
a line of clothes drying in a breeze from the west,
Stood a pretty red house, worn out and patched!

In this old house lived Tommy, his sister Maddy,
And chubby little toothless golden haired Teddy...
Their Wampus Cat Buringhum would purr and mew,
Feeding on the Russian Rat and tumbling the stew!

The charming plump mother would run around shouting,
Mommucked by the cat, baton in hand and cursing...
Fat Burhingam knew the Token of angry love,
As he clumsily climbed the top shelf above...

Tommy searched, as they played meehonkey,
Teddy found in the backyard, still looking for Maddy!
Maddy hid in the cupboard and curled up and slept,
Until noon she became quamish, came out and wept!

For Tommy was searching no more for her,
The boys playing in the lighthouse without a care...
Tear stricken she waited for her Papa to come back,
And tell her annoying tale sitting snuggly in his lap.

Papa came at sunset from the Silver Lake after fishing,
A flounder for dinner and victoriously beaming...
The mother kissed him, Maddy ran to hug her Papa,
She climbed his arms as the dirty boys scampered around...

The dinner was cheery, Burhingham forgiven,
Fresh soup and flounder and hot bread in the oven!
The happy O'cockers lived in quite Ocracoke,
Away from the filthy city and unpleasant smoke!

Creation...

"Unknown"

Of several wishful years on earth,
From the huge belly of a woman
A baby was born...

----x----

Of what was a little seed in the core
Of a lusty delectable fruit,
Became a tree...

 ----x----

In the heart of Gods
A fire burns,
Seeding a million suns...

 ----x----

From the empathy of a cruel man
A child was born,
He thus ruled the land!

Sat Chit Anand!

"Unknown"

The three essence of life-
Read the explanation of the logo at Here.
Taken from Manav Seva Sangh!
Atma, Parmatma and Jivatma,*
Defining the universe in a trice!

Sometimes in the literature when they try to define
God and His nature they say only three Lines
     Sat- The only existing Truth
         Chit- The consciousness within,
              Anand- The eternal unending Love....

We have always been three,
my father, mother and me,
Became the double after my union with thee!

*
Atma- आत्मा  meaning soul.
Parmatma- परमात्मा  meaning God!
Jivatma- जीवात्मा meaning collective union of all souls in the universe!

The Rich Man!

"Unknown"
The image is a prompt from Magpie Tales
I looked in the mirror but I saw not me,
For even I did not want to look back at me!
A cold shiver went up my spine,
Down fell the glass of expensive Wine...
I was rich and unloved,
But many hated me!
I ruled and governed,
But was never free...
I loved my kids,
but they din't love me back,
I loved my the riches,
But they mostly stayed in a bank...
I had no time to Love,
I had no time to Live,
I had no times for life's
joys so exclusive...
For I was obsessed with my deep pockets,
with my corrupt huge business,
My political prowess...
And a cold fear touched my heart,
For then I knew,
that none loved me and hated me too

Love is:

"Unknown"
Love is:

The virgin stream for a thirsty man,
The touch of water on dry lips,
And then there is Chocolate!!
The glimpse of land in vast wide ocean,
The feathers of a new born Pelican...

The shade of a tree in the scorching sun,
The whiff of breeze in sweltering heat,
The ray of sunshine in Polar Blizzards,
The warmth of fire in December winters...

The floating leaf of a drowning grasshopper,
The vibrant flower of a bumble bee,
The bright flame of a boring moth,
The needle to a piece of cloth!!

The Soldier!

"Unknown"

My Father-in-Law (Col. Alok Chaturvedi) along with his comrades at Siachen Glacier

He followed a dream, a religion, a passion,
Of guns and bullets and raging ammunition,
He dropped his fear, he raised his head,
To protect His country he marched ahead!

A sister's tear, a mother's pride,
The blatant fear of his alluring bride,
He left his house fully armed and dressed,
To wage a battle against His Country's dread!

Who says he has no awe and fear,
Who says he hasn't shed a tear?
For he is a human, And yet a Soldier,
A smile on his face, a duty on his shoulder!

His barrels are full, the booms are heard,
The distant howls of shots that were fired!
The ferocious war sends a shiver down the spine!
And yet he runs out in the rush of adrenaline!

He hits them hard, he hits them strong,
He hits them mightily all night long...
He never thinks about his mother or wife,
Only what he trained for all his life!

He rarely thinks of the beautiful days,
The lovely mornings, the dusky bays,
For he sees just blood and bitter revenge,
The reckless carnage of diplomatic resent...

His wife awaits, His mother cries,
The new born forgets his fathers guise,
The brothers brood and sisters worry,
But the Soldier commits only to His Country!!

Bestest Holi Ever! (2014)

"Unknown"
I know this comes in a little late, but it's been long overdue-
I nodded in mute despair. Mr. Husband just informed me he din't get a leave on Holi!
My plans seemed to be trickling!
Whatever happened that day was never planned and happened with the sudden surprise of Joy, dance colours and songs...

Started the day looking like this with Mr. Husband having coffee at Costa (chhoti Holi)

Chhoti Holi at home with mother-in-law painted blue by our neighbours!!
Last moment we made a road trip Vrindavan- the city of colours! Here Holi is not a one day occasion!! It's celebrated for the whole week... Colors every where and Krishna bhajans echoed across the city!

Mom with that absurd expression, papa busy on the phone, with Prempal and Premchand (I always get confused as to who is who) in Vrindavan

Mommy trying to convince papa to let go of the phone!
And now it's Mommy busy on the phone!!

A cute calf and me coloring her!!

That cap was a Holi gift!!
On our way back to Delhi from Vrindavan we came upon a Aryasamaj Gurukul, Manjhavali and what followed was a complete chaos! A Holi so full of colours, and rain dance, loud songs, hot music, so much of dancing, so much of laughter, a complete transformation from looking normal to looking like a leprechaun, lots of gujiaa and the raucous of about 50 kids trying to paint us in every color possible!!! I had so much fun I'll never forget!! :))
Mommy, me and the headmaster of the gurukul who was woken up from his mid afternoon nap with a slush of coloured cold water by his students!!

colors so Bright!!

Oh! thats me in the centre and right of me is Mommy and we all are sooooo Happy!! :)

Right after this the head master (the most colorful guy in the centre) was dragged by his students and thrust into a puddle... I guess they wanted to vent out their revenge for all the punishments in that one day!!  Was fun watching though!! ;))

They were amazing!! :D

Dancing (Weird pose) :/
