Of wings broad and wide,
Lifting me to the heavens...

Love Pearls...
![]() |
| My pearls... :) |
Resting on her delicate bossom,
Rising with every forlorn sigh-
The pearl necklace!
Shining with memory of what is lost,
settles down preciously only to adorn...

~Fragrance~

| The sculpture of an Indian peacock clicked at a Emporium! |
The smell of a new book,
Leaves me lost among the bygone times-
Of friends and school...
***
The scent of earth,
After the first summer rain,
Dancing outside-
Among the beautiful peacocks,
Their trail in display!
***
Burning wood,
And fragrant herbs and oils-
Sacrifices to the fire God!

~Sunrise~
![]() |
| Sunrise in Leh is rather late because of the altitude of the city... So when she comes up she is full bright and not the usual vermillion orangish colour! |
***
Flying across the ocean,
Racing with the rising sun,
into the West!
***
Over the horizon,
The Sun peaks shyly,
Leaving the world in awe!

Morning Glories scattered
On the paths of many a pilgrims,
Spreading wisdom of Life.
The vermillion reds cover the skies,
Sun rising above the hills to full glory.
The blues of Morning Glory,
Transforming to a shade of violet-
Only to last one sunrise!

Flash.
![]() |
| It's not sun. It's not edited. It's lightening in the setting sun. Caught on camera overhead Kochi. |
Satin white flashes
Of light with peels of thunder-
Hiding behind the clouds!
***
The dance of the Gods
No human shall enter
Lightens the earth beneath.
***
Lit up by fire from heaven,
A moment of beauty-
And then just darkness.
***
A beautiful thunder
Terrifying so many of us-
Then Lightening of hope!

Climbing uphill
Weathered eroded jagged rocks,
Covered in dense colours!

Reaching the top
Beautiful landscape far beyond-
Fearing the slope.

Beneath the layers of coloured powder
Lay her ageing pale skin,
Dying with every fleeting moment.
